BAPTISM BY FIRE

We often hold our self in the highest regard. We convince ourselves that when the opportunity, for which we have been toiling so desperately, comes around; we will surely be ready.

We are fools.

Unfortunately, when we find that we have arrived at the waters of opportunity, they seem to be far deeper than expected. Suddenly our previously perceived readiness, quickly, is shown to be inadequate.

We are inadequate.

We are not special.

We were never meant to be ready, we were never meant to conquer the unconquerable.

Your failure is your salvation. You are meant to feel like you’re drowning. Your will to survive is what will teach you how to navigate these deep waters. There is no other way.

So plunge.

Prepare as best you can, or don’t. It won’t make a difference.

The only way to learn is to be willing to go deep. You will understand that you must shed the unnecessary. You will change, for the better, and you’ll survive, move on and search for deeper waters still.
